Celebrate Bismarck-Mandan Awards
Golden Eagle Award
The purpose of the award is to recognize those in support of the military through involvement and business interaction.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Chamber EDC member who has an active record of military support in the Bismarck-Mandan area.
- Nominees will be required to write a 500-word response on how they qualify for this award.
- Cannot have won in the last 10 years. Past nominees of this award can be renominated.
(Past Winners: Home Instead, Baymont Inn & Suites, Gate City Bank, Sanford Health, North American Coal: Falkirk Mine, Starion Bank, Burleigh County Senior Adults Program, Cloverdale Foods, Kupper Chevrolet, Basin Electric Power Cooperative)
Granite Award - Annual Dinner
Qualifications:
- Must be a Chamber EDC member the last 5 years or the last 5 years in business life.
- 50 years in business in Bismarck-Mandan (business may have changed ownership or name).
- Must be someone who has never won before.
- Must be involved in community activities.
(Past Winners: Baptist Health & Rehab, EMC Insurance, Big Boy Restaurant, Starion Bank, Eide Bailly LLP, Skeels Electric, Farm Credit Services of Mandan, Sanford Health, McQuade Distributing, Twin City Roofing.)
Large Business of the Year Award
Qualifications:
- Must be a Chamber EDC member.
- Must have 51 employees or more (can be for-profit or non-profit)
- Must be someone who has never won before.
- Nominees will be required to write a 500-word response on how they qualify for this award.
(Last year’s winner: First International Bank & Trust)
Small Business of the Year Award
Qualifications:
- Must be a Chamber EDC member.
- Must have under 50 employees (can be for-profit or non-profit)
- Must be someone who has never won before. Past nominees of this award can be renominated.
- Nominees will be required to write a 500-word response on how they qualify for this award.
(Past Winners Include: Lonna Brooks - Terry's Health Products; Jason Sellers - Mattress Firm; Kari Weigel - Sylvan Learning; Dr. Aaron Moos - Verge Fitness; Jon Simmers - Bismarck Aero Center.

Service Award of the Year
This award is designed to give acknowledgement to an individual who often doesn't receive external recognition for their dedication in providing excellent customer service. (Example industries include: hospitality, service, retail, food, frontline customer service, administrative assistance, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Business in which the employee works at must be a Chamber EDC member.
- This individual should consistently show warmth of welcome, go above and beyond to help colleagues or customers, and exemplify high customer service within their industry.

Women Owned Business of the Year
Qualifications:
- Must be a Chamber EDC member.
- Any individual who serves as a majority owner (51% or more)
- Must be someone who has never won before.
- Nominees will be required to write a 500-word response on how they qualify for this award.

20 Under 40 Awards
Who among the Bismarck-Mandan’s young movers and shakers stood up and stood out to you this past year? It's time to nominate those who continue to make positive changes within our community!
Qualifications:
- Must live and/or work in the Burleigh-Morton County area.
- Must be under age 40 as of Aug. 1, 2024.
- Must be someone who has never won before.
